This is sort of off-topic, but I find this particular bit really funny in that it sounds so contemporary. I realize that Blue Rose is fantasy rather than history so I suppose it probably doesn't really matter. It would be particularly funny if there was a passage that said, "I'm flattered, really, but I'm not cepia."
