Thats quite different from saying "The book says people who don't like gays are bad." First, it only makes statements about the fictional country of Aldis. Second, these statements are quite a bit weaker than you described them.
It's pretty much along the lines of "In the US, people who are prejudiced against religious people are generally seen as ignorant." (Regardless if this is true or not.) or, to take a rpg-based example, "In the setting of Exalted, Solars are generally viewed as evil demons out to destoy everything." Does that make [me advocate Religion or the idea of Solars being evil?
