Re: [RPG]: Blue Rose, reviewed by Jürgen Hubert (3/4)
Quite frankly, even if Blue Rose 'advocates' tolerance, I don't see the problem. After all, is there a problem with D&D advocating the defeat of evil? A problem with Call of Cthulhu and its "Dread Other Gods Are Bad" stance? Unknown Armies and its "Killing people is probably not a good idea, most of the time" position?
If a player of mine got themselves riled up over a fictional setting embracing something like "Hey, hatin' on the gays? Not so good", I wouldn't invite them back to the game.
Now, if they got riled up because we were playing Ars Magica and it wouldn't be historically accurate, that's fine. But I'm not concerned with the feelings of people who feel off-put that a game tells them that most of its setting thinks they're ignorant fucks if they're given to behavior typically associated with ignorant fuckery.
