After reading the Song of Fire & Ice Trilogy
I'm rather shocked that so much of Midnight was such a blatent rip-off of George R.R. Martins series. Right down to a wall keeping the ancient foe in the frozen north, to the name of some of the race of people (The Dorns). Even the whole 'come-back-to-unlife-when-you-die' bit that inspired such dread in the novels....Irony of ironies, FGU will be the ones who publish the Game of Thrones roleplaying game. When I first reviewed this game, I thought it had some great elements of unique flavor...too bad they certainly were not the 'writers' of this rpg's own original ideas. Shame...SHAME I SAY! I change my review to a 1 for plageristic style, and a 3 for content that would be useuful...even if it was a rip-off of some great books.
