I think the expansion wrought by d20 Future, without any real setting, really hurts the appeal of that book and subsequent supplements like d20 Cyberspace. On the other hand, Apocalypse made me realize how keen an eye Charles Ryan has for d20 Modern - it's a shame he's no longer involved on a constant basis.
