That to be honest would put be off. If I GM a game, I do it so that the players have fun, not to beat them down and kill them off. I'm more into telling a story than having a whack at people. But then I guess the game was designed more with the hack-and-slash brigade in mind in the first place, so that's not really a failing of the game in any respect, just a feature of the genre.
