Re: [Comic]: Dragonlance Chronicles #1, reviewed by ShannonA (4/3)
I still have a copy of a "Graphic Novelization" of Dragons of Autumn Twilight, from the late 1980s. Rose-coloured glasses notwithstanding, it actually is a very successful, if literal, adaptation of the novel to graphical form. The black dragon guarding the Disks of Mishakal, in particular, was memorably rendered.
Cool to see a resurgence. Part of, I think, a general trend in fantasy comic resurgence. Recently we've had the super-sweet "Hedge Knight", and the breathtaking Kurt Busiek/Cary Nord Conan books by Dark Horse. (In fact, if you have some time to kill, Shannon, check out "The Frost Giant's Daughter".) Am I happy? I am so happy.
Thanks for the review!
