That's a good way of putting it. I
love internal monologue. I don't really do play-by-post myself, but I can certainly see the similarities.

Nothing specific, I'm just seeing a large number of 1980s-era games which are written in the "GM creates
the plot and the players go along with it" style. Even the newer stuff like Rune and Savage Worlds (I think, I've only read reviews) have that player/GM power balance. WGP lays much more power, and responsibility, for shaping the plot on the players shoulders.
Since your original concern was that your players might have trouble warming up to it, and acknowledging that I don't know you or your players, I'd expect gamers comfortable only with the games in your .sig to say "Hey, this is
really different than what we're used to."
