Care to share your thoughts on the subject, Malcolm?
Yes, Dan, yes I would.

'The Shifted' is a broad brush term used by inhabitants of The City to refer to the various strange entities which appeared after The Shift. Within this broad category, there are several different types, but in common conversation, they are not normally differentiated and are therefore lumped under a single category, i.e.: The Shifted.

As Tom B pointed out, I'd rather they were called 'The Shifted' than some made up term, The Slagathorians, for example. Or the Bingbongeroo or something like that. The individual kind sof Shidted entities have names based either on English or German words (Hager, Lugner, Simil, etc). So, in short, calling the overall group 'The Shifted' was a conscious aesthetic and lexical choice on my part and one which I am happy with.

Cheers
Malcolm
