Re: [Board/Tactical Game]: Betrayal at House on the Hill, reviewed by SteveD (5/5)
Re: the rulebook.
A straight copy and paste into word from the Avalon Hill page comes up with a 13 page document, with no additional formatting or tweaking.
Board Game Geek does have a number of files: two documents each for both sides formatted for two pages (and the formatting is extreme on these - no margins, landscape, five columns. My printer wouldn't print these out).
Then there's one formatted to be folded and stapled, with four pages on each sheet (front and back), with roughly 20 pages on 14 sheets of paper.
Then there are the three faq/errata documents that Shannon mentioned: Traitor (10 pages), Survivor (10 pages), and the Rules Errata (6 pages = total, 26 pages).
So I suppose there's lots of ways to count those pages and to format them, but the point is that there is a considerable amount of errata and missing data that makes some missions difficult if not impossible to beat (or play).
