Eagle Games
Steve, while I support your review of this game, I have to take exception with your treatment of Eagle Games. Those guys are a very solid game company. Sure, they're not Days of Wonder or FFG, but they do make some incredibly good games. Conquest of the Empire is awesome, and Conquest II, the second game in the box, currently holds a position in my top three favorite games.
Now, I will say that there have been some games I didn't like from Eagle. I hated clipping all the little people for Civilization and Age of Mythology, and I could have done without Blood Feud altogether. But Civilization is a cool game (if really, really long), and Conquest II is simply freaking awesome.
By the way, my other two top games are Memoir '44 (Days of Wonder) and HeroScape (Hasbro). Just so you can get a frame of reference.
