I'm not a real comics person, but I have picked up these ones so far. I have to agree with you in general, Shannon. The art is certainly nice enough.
However, I don't really agree with the pacing. Perhaps it's my lack of familiarity with the medium, but the story is moving way, way too fast for my liking. That choppiness between scenes is really jarring.

What was really key for me though, was that when a Dragon came on the stage it looked the part. And it did.
It should turn into a really great showcase for Dragonlance.
