somewhere along the way they spell it "dawrf". I think it's in a compound noun - "dawrfhold" or "dawrfclan" or something such. I can't track it down but you can sure as hell believe that I noticed it at the time.

oh, and the index is consistently one page out of whack as well, indicating again that submitted text was cacked around fairly late in the lay-out and editing process.

as for the points that Darrin raises, I have to go with capnzapp here - I'm serenely untroubled by consistency between 1e and 2e material for the game, or between RPG and wargame. at a certain level I can even live without consistency between corebook and expansion material: but I demand that a book not contradict itself from one chapter to the next.
