Re: [RPG]: Shadowrun Fourth Edition, reviewed by Hurtfulpotato (4/4)

Laz was trying both, actually. He bragged about his character's 6 dice with some social stuff, so it's clear that he wanted face abilities. Unfortunately, without contacts, he can't do that very well-- making that rather worthless of an addition. And I have no idea who Jong WK is in the real world, what his real name is, or why he chose that handle-- here on RPG.net, I can recognize Adam, Bull, and Michelle Lyons, as well as JWK, as nSR insiders.

So, Mr. Jong WK, what is your real name, so I can check it against my pdfs? And do you mind telling us what role you played in the development of nSR, since you clearly speak as if you're an insider?

you know what, HB? You're really not doing your argument any justice. You've come into all the SR4 threads, and denounced it as being the same as nWoD. You've used the incredibly snarky "nSR" terminology, instead of "SR4", as it is named. You've been rude to the developers on more than one occasion. You started with a review which claimed plagiarism.
For the benefit of those with an open mind, I never once accused anyone of plagarism-- you can read my more-than-fair review of the game, and see that word never actually appears anywhere. Yes, perhaps "ripoff" was a bit strong-- but no one, not even the developers, are trying to pass off the nSr-nWoD similarities as pure coincidence. I have not once slammed the game, or claimed that its overall bad parts even outnumber its overall good parts. And yes, it has many good parts-- unfortunately, character creation is not one of them. There are several very constructive things they could have done to make character creation run much more smoothly-- better organization, moving qualities to the end of the chapter, putting a step-by-step process into a sidebar, and so on. This is where nSR fails to deliver, because it could have easily done all of these things, without changing a single rule.
