The one thing it needed was some guidelines on about how many points to spend per section (which it somewhat has, actually). Even still, I figured out a good range of points per section to tell my players after making just one character. And that first character took me about an hour and a half to make. My friends took about 2 hours to make characters, and a few spent an extra 2 hours because they wanted to fiddle with their options, but they were ready to play after the first 2 hours. That's actually pretty fast considering how long it takes us to get up on some games.

Honestly? I liked the MCCT a *lot* better. Much faster, and easier to explain to new players. YMMV, of course, but it takes me about ten minutes to put together a simple SR3 character, and about two hours for a simple SR4 one. Then again, I know the SR3 rules real well, and that helps cut down on the back-and-forth HB is complaining about.
