Yeah, I kind of prefer the point-buy system for a game as crunchy as SR. I mean, I like priority too, but if you ask me, it was just a disguised point-buy system anyway. I mean, priority A gives you like 40 Attribute points, 1 million nuyen, or the ability to be a full magician, or some other options.

So you're still getting the points, just broken up by section for you. That can be troublesome to work with if you don't have a very clear character concept before going in. Also, you couldn't do something like, say, a rich magician with really really crappy stats and skills. You can do that with point-buy. Now, maybe you shouldn't do that, but you can.

But hey, to each his own, like you said. Maybe the new companion will add priorities back in. Kind of a reverse of SR3.
