Well, the differences there are fairly subtle. The Qualities and Drawbacks are different; some, like "Big Chin" and "Tool Man" are new, some Qualities in BUFFY or ANGEL aren't in AoD, some are in two books but not the third ("Outcast" is in ANGEL and AoD, but the point value is different). Vehicles are in AoD and ANGEL but not BUFFY.
AoD doesn't really have "Magic" rules per se- there's no Sorcery Quality, and the three spells listed for the Necronomicon require no effort to cast (unless the character is a Schmuck.)
Basically it's a question of what bits and pieces they took from the Unisystem- it has more weapon listings than the other two core books, and focuses more on the smashy, bloody stuff (and the only problem with guns is that you might run out of ammo.)
