Just so you know, my figures were strictly an educated guess, not something I had hard data on. Sorry if that was at all unclear.

But now you got me interested, what would be the price difference between a 240 page hardcover and a 256 pages one?
I think it's safe to say (judging from Characters) that the price difference would be $5.

I agree that that is a non-trivial amount, though originally I was one of the people on the playtest championing it as a viable option. I was told no, flat out. Now that the book is in stores and I've had a chance to chat up a few of my local game store owners, I'm starting to withdraw my original belief. As a GURPS fan, I was waiting for this book as a Christian might await the second coming of the Lord, and I knew of many other people who were as well. So I figured people would want as much stuffed into it as possible and would pay for that extra content. Turns out that (locally, at least), Powers isn't selling any better than the typical GURPS book does -- the numbers for "released month" and "month after" sales are essentially the same as they were for Fantasy and Magic (the two most comparable 'core' books). So that makes me wonder if a $5 price hike really would have impacted sales -- I'm starting to think that yes it would. (Though, selfishly, I still want a 256-page monster packed with text and tons of good artwork....)
