Thanks for the Kudos as this my first game review. You’re correct on the background Dave, but it doesn’t seem to be in the Darwin’s World 2 book, I’ll keep looking though. There is a quick and dirty timeline on the RPG Objects website:

I think this timeline was from the 1st edition and was probably left out of the 2nd edition for space considerations. The Foundationists and Children of the Metal Gods supplements both have really good timelines that flesh out the game world. Oh, and sorry about the typos, I read these things a million times before I post but I always seem to miss a few of them.
