Good review

Again, thanks for the thoughtful and honest review. Chase scenes are often under-used in RPGs and that neglect has made Car-Fu the red-headed stepchild of the Wushu Guides, despite it being the first and my personal favorite.

I have to say, though, that I don't quite understand your point about tension. If you're talking about the gradual ramping up of action, there are many ways to make a Wushu conflict last longer (dice pool caps, Threat Ratings, etc). If you're talking about the tension that comes from the threat of failure, then I'd say Wushu's lack thereof is a feature, not a bug.

I hope you can find room for a car chase when you run your playtest session and let us know how it goes. As is often the case, my writing doesn't live up to Wushu's potential.
