A couple corrections/clarificaitons...
The backgrounds are in True20 for designing races, etc. Starts on pg 16.
Also, you begin the game at character creation with a number of skills based on role, then you get skill ranks per usual d20 rules at additional levels. There are no differences for favored skills in True 20, so your max is alwasy level +3. (see pg 28).
Just wanted to clarify. All in all this is a great implementation/redesign of the d20 system (IMHO). :-D
