By fluff I mean not only setting specific info, but also what’s it like to live in the Shadowrun universe in a day-to-day basis. For example : are there any highways or freeways still existing between cities ? Is everyone allowed to carry a firearm, or do you need a permit of some kind ? That kind of fluff info.
There's a lot of general info. Legal information is sketchy, though, where it exists at all. As for firearms, nearly everyone can carry a pistol, but anything heavier requires a permit when it's not downright illegal.

[QUOTE=Kyle]Also, how much 4th edition is compatible with previous books ? Is Fan Pro trying to “rebuild” the line from scratch by drastically changing their dice system ?[QUOTE]

Not much, and it seems to be deliberately so. While 3rd edition kept the weapon damage codes from 2nd, SR4/nSR uses a completely different system for such, and armor is the same way. Conversions could be worked out, probably, but it does seem like FanPro was careful to not let FASA's books inhibit future book sales.
