I was big fan of the original show, and was initially disappointed that it was ignored. But I do think they did an excellent job on the new series. The popularity of the show proves that Ron Moore was correct and his sense that being tied to the original show was an artistic trap. All one need do is look at Star Trek to see how a creator can get boxed in. Plus, I never new Richard Hatch was such a great actor, but he clearly demonstrates his talent in this version of BSG. Oh, and being one who has been in the military, I found all the screwing to be quite realistic.

OK Well, Dynamite Entertainment is going to have a comic series based on the original BSG show so maybe it isn’t totally over.
