I had the chance on reading the english and French version of that game and I can tell you the it does not even look like the same game!

Much more work was done on the French version. the authors are closer to the European culture and it shows.

I always though that the game failed commercially because of the non-importance of America in the scheme of things.

So I would give a 4 for substance and 3 for style for the Franch version.

They are soem supplements published in French, around 5 to 10, one covering France, one Great Brittain and a couple of adventure, including a cross-over with Stormbringner.

Personnally, at the time of publication. I found that Hawkmoon was much more interesting and enjoyable then Stormbringner. However, SB continued to evolved, but not HM...
