Wow. That's quite surprising, and a bit strange given your goal of producing a RM-like game. (Why reinvent the wheel? Or, if you are determined to reinvent the wheel, it at least makes sense IMO to look at what previous wheel-inventors have done.)

I quite like HARP, but my main pet peeve is that it went with the unnecessarily complex RM-style development point system for skills, instead of the smoother and lighter MERP system.

That aside, it's a nice game, especially the magic system. I hope to try it out -- if I can convince enough players to give it a shot.
