Interestingly though, as a
Rationalist, Lovecraft didn't believe in religion in general and Christianity in specific. And you can't really believe in Satan without believing in God. It really doesn't work that way because you can't have one without the other. In fact, Lovecraft had this to say about religion:

Since there seems to be an awful lot of bludgeoning going on in the whole Satanist thing I seriously doubt that he would have appreciated being connected to it.

I think that I'm going to have to see some IDs around here because there seems to be a number of people who don't know what in the world they are talking about when it comes to Lovecraft, his worldview and his writings.
