Travire, you seem to be missing the point. It's not that I disagree with the review. It's not about whether I think that a different game is the best ever. It's that your review is so frothingly positive that the only information it gives is that the reviewer really likes Call of Cthulhu.

Reviews are always opinion pieces, certainly, but that doesn't mean that every opinion piece is a useful review. Extreme claims like "best rpg ever" harm your credibility as a reviewer and make me less likely to take the rest of the review at face value. Entirely one-sided reviews make me dismiss them as rants. You did a fair job of presenting the game, but neglected to draw any connection between what the game <i>is</i> and why it's so great, leaving the reader to take it on faith.

I'm very sorry that I don't have anything more positive to say about your review, but those are valid criticisms. I'm not offended by the review, I don't hate you (I don't even know you), I never even said that I <i>disagreed</i> with you, I'm just telling you what about the review didn't work.
