There was - I still have some of the attendant dino figures in a box somewhere. I believe the English name was "DinoRiders".
Strictly speaking, only the bad guys used mind-control helmets to control their dinosaurs - the good guys just tamed theirs, if memory serves.
Oh, and the head bad guy rode a T. rex whose helmet had laser cannons mounted next to its eyes.
