Re: [RPG]: Deities & Demigods, reviewed by Lev Lafayette (5/1)

Although I categorically disagree with Lev's other reviews of AD&D books, he's right on the money here. While I loved browsing through this book and musing over the artwork, the game value in the 25 years that I've owned it has been nil. Even if it had only included a one-sentence entry for each deity summarizing typical traits of a cleric of that deity, it would have been useful. Or perhaps some info on what sort of churches or rites the followers set up. But no, nothing of the sort. Unless you're into god killing (and we never reached high enough to even think about fighting gods), Deities & Demigods is useless as a game aid.
