What if you are like me and think its stupid when its modern and anime even more?
I, for laughs, decided to use the book to pick out gods for my Basic D&D Mystara campaign. Outside of the pictures and a sentence or two, it was practically useless.
(For the record I chose: Evil: Yog Sothoth, Loviatar, Asmodeus, Kali. Neutral: Thoth, Indra, Yama, Ki. Good: Ushas, Athena, Meilikki, Isis. I might use the nonhuman deities as well, I haven't decided yet.)
Edit: Yes Asmodeus isn't in the book. But he is basically AD&D's Satan (Well, till they actually statted Satan in Dragon!). And as Bart Simpson told us: All the best bands are afilliated with Satan.
