The vagueness I referred to wasn't actually directed at your review; I've stumbled across beast hunters on several RPG BBS's, and while the concept itself was generally well explained, the actual execution was never even touched upon. So I feared for the worst, which, thankfully, hasn't occured. Quite the contrary. Beast Hunters now sounds pretty enticing.

These answers were very helpful indeed, xenopulse. I appreciate when game developers go the extra mile and offer an insight into the mechanical bones of the product. As I mentioned, I feared the worst, but it seems that my fears were insubstaniated. While the game is focused, the focus is not overtly narrow and allows for quite some variation.
The mechanics also seem workable; a nice unified system, unobtrusive and simple to understand.

Thank you for the insight provided.
