If one has a copy of Godlike, does one need a copy of Wild Talents?
I do own Godlike (it's on loan to a friend), I seldom use the 'stock background' included in games, and I'm on a pretty tight budget these days. If the ORE has been radically updated in Wild Talents, I'll start saving pennies and dimes. If it's essentially the same beast that appeared in Godlike + Fluff, I'll get my copy back from my friend.
Besides, if it's as good as you say, it's probably sold out by now.

Wild Talents does use the core concepts and basics of the system that Godlike does, but there have been considerable changes too. And frankly, I consider WT to be the superior product by far.
You COULD get away with Godlike, but Godlike is tightly married to its setting; Wild Talents is less so, and thus more easily made to play in other settings.
