Will these bugbears never learn? The authors of this system must really hope this "reviewer" never "reviews" their stuff again...

Jesus, spew vitriol much? Have bitter bile for breakfast maybe? The author already apologized for the tone of the review. No need to pile on the abuse just to make yourself feel warm inside.
Anyway, I too am a loner-RPer because of my life circumstances, doomed to buy and read book after book of RPGs and games and never actually play them. Mythic changed all that for me and exploded my collection into the living games they were supposed to be.
There is no absolutely need to use tables for EVERY roll. You can layer d20 or FUDGE or whatever you like on top of the GM emulation, so the use of tables can be reduced to only where GM world-decisions would take place.
I wish I had time to make an actual review of it but I don't... I will say though, there are many parts to the whole thing, like the fate table and the chaos factor and stuff like that. If you look at them separately they seem very simplistic and shallow, but when you put them all together in a playthrough you realize the depth and effectiveness of it all. It really does feel like "playing" the game.
Edit -> For those interested, I took a few minutes and wrote up a couple of examples of what playing with Mythic is like over
here.
