The questions and the Fate probabilities table are just one side of the whole system. Asking a Yes/No question and flipping a coin, of course that sounds simplistic, it is simplistic. There are several other sides to the Mythic system (and honestly I can't fathom why most people decribe it as if the yes/no thing was the only thing there).

Read the post in my link above for a description of another (and IMHO much more important) part of the system, using suggestive phrases and archetypes to construct scenarios out of subconscious creative mind.

Like I wrote above, if you take each separate piece of the system and scrutinize it independetly of the others, they all seem very simplistic. It's only when you put it all together and work with it that you really 'get it'.

Anyway, at the risk of sounding like one of these reviled peddlers you speak of, I really don't see that the 'investment' in the GM Emulator could be so drastic as to merit a conversation as long as this one. I've certainly spent a lot more than $7 of my time writing these descriptive posts. I had the same doubts as you did, I gave $7, I read it, I used it I liked it. Yes I know how I sound, but I geniunely feel that for that price it's just... odd... to be waffling around so much.
