maybe it's because I've seen a couple of movies lately that fit the mood/time [The Good German, The Good Shepherd], maybe it's because Berlin's a very fascinating city, maybe it's because I'm german, maybe it's because the system sounds like similar to HeroQuest.... dunno, but it all sounds great!
Thanks for your great review that sparked my enthusiasm!!!
BTW - I'd really appreciated tips for other inspiring movies, comics, books!

I intend to run a Cold City campaign quite soon. Here are a few sources of inspiration I would recommend :
MOVIES
The Downfall / Der Untergang
The Third Man (with Orson Welles - it is set in Vienna, not Berlin, but was made in 1949 so it can't be beaten for period detail and atmosphere - plus it is a great classic)
Nuremberg (2000 TV movie on the trial of the Nazi dignitaries after the war - with a very credible Brian Cox as Hermann Goering - it also shows US and European authorities moving around in post-war Germany etc)
Conspiracy (extraordinary BBC movie about the Wansee Conference, where the Final Solution was "made official" - features an excellent Kenneth Branagh in the role of Heydrich, the "hangman of Prague" - this movie is an excellent - and death-chilling - insight on "Nazi thinking" from an inside perspective)
Hellboy (for the masked, knife-swinging nazi, if anything)
The Mandchurian Candidate (the 1962 version)
The Kremlin Letter (John Huston's masterpiece of gritty espionage, made and set in the late 60s but full of great ideas about espionage paranoia, Soviet Russia and Soviet diplomats)
The Spy who came in from the Cold (1965 adaptation of John Le Carré's classic novel - just remember that the Berlin Wall did not yet exist at the time of Cold City)
Any documentary about Operation Paperclip (the exfiltration of former Nazi scientists by the US secret services)
The History Channel and the BBC also produced several documentaries about the occult aspects of the Nazi regime and other similar topics.
I'll post other titles when they come back to my memory...
