You COULD get away with Godlike, but Godlike is tightly married to its setting; Wild Talents is less so, and thus more easily made to play in other settings.

I like some aspects Godlike more, specifically the rules on Hyperbody and the inclusion of a built-in Superspeed power. But Wild Talents is designed to be much more versatile and cover a broader range of powers. Also, the Ken Hite material is excellent, as noted. The setting material for the future world of Godlike continues to provide a distinctive and interesting perspective on superhumans in the "real world" and the cheesy-yet-gritty 70s adventure in the back is weirdly fascinating to someone who was a small child in the 70s and tries to forget most of it.
