No, it would be more expensive for YOU to buy a playset. You only need one copy of some cards, but you need like 2 copies of some others, etc. In the one per box model you'd have to buy 2 boxes to get a playset and you'd be buying a lot of chaff that you can only use one of anyway. It'd probably be slightly more for you to get a workable, tournament viable playset.
The current collation has some chaff in it (because we put some spares in you don't need to make it draftable), but the level of chaff is fairly low overall.
We ran the numbers, guys. We tried to find a way to package the game to deliver a tournament viable collation as cheaply as possible while still looking professional. The current collation is as close as we could get.
