Really? I don't see why one couldn't run a back-to-back-to-back stories on the same world. It's just a matter of framing the endings and beginnings the right way (and starting at the right phase). Nor do I see a reason why I couldn't take existing characters from an old campaign and put them on a new world. In the later case it would be a minor rules hack to allow for non-newly burned characters to transfer over, but if that's too great a jump then you could just re-burn the characters with extra LPs.

Also, there's nothing stopping you from traveling to different planets. Heck, you could even take the battle for one planet and make it part of a larger battle, just as it's part of a smaller (personal) one. If you use the narration right you can run a galaxy-spanning adventure about the fate of a thousand worlds. It'll just be also about the fate of one world.

You can set all your campaigns in the same continuity. Use the same characters, or related characters. You can Circles in old NPCs and use Resources to buy technology you've already burned in an old campaign. BE is actually kind of cool in this regard.
