Interesting Review - I'll have to keep an eye out for the book.

Unlike you, I'm afraid I rather like a lot of detail about a city, especially one in another time period - I'm very fond of my copies of the 'New Orleans' and 'Cairo' books, for instance, *because* they're chock full of non-mythos details that I can use to help bring the city alive. So, if you think this book is too much in common with that, then it's right up my alley.
