Re: [RPG]: Aletheia, reviewed by Jocelyn Robitaille (3/4)

To discover Aletheia's truth, a series of smaller mysteries must first be solved. Doing so will take some time, and once the truth is known, there's still much for the players to do. With the revelation of the truth, the purpose of the society changes -- the PCs' roles shift from seekers of truth into something else. This evolution, which ultimately leads to the end of Aletheia's metaplot would occupy dozens if not hundreds of sessions, depending on the GM's pacing.

Aletheia is like one giant campaign framework in one game. As such, replay value to the same group of players is not very good if and when all the game's mysteries are solved. However, on the second time around, if you run Aletheia as a basic game of paranormal investigation and jettison the background material, replay value is high.

Best,
Lee
