Alright.
Truth be told, Classroom Deathmatch is about Violence.
That's the short and long of it really.
It's about violence just as much as every World War II movie every made.
It's the same situation in a nutshell really.
A bunch of people pulled from their regular lives and made to kill each other. All the drama and heartbreak that goes along with that wouldn't matter if they were not in the situation that was incredibly violent. Remove them from the situation and what do you have?
Campfire stories.
Violence is essential to both of these genres, but that's not what it is all about either.
