I don't have the 3rd edition (and the review wisely doesn't go into excruciating detail) but my impression is that for a horror game, Kult has a pretty hard-core (=detailed and complex) combat system. Lots of things to keep track of, with weapon stats, different health levels, rules for most every kind of situation, that kind of thing.
If that is still the case, that would be my wish for a next edition (simplifying and streamlining it, that is).
