I'm with Lethe on this. I'd bought the book before reading this review, and read it, but not perhaps as thoroughly and closely as you have. While I might not agree that C:TL leaps out as one of the best of the nWOD series, I have to say that this review is one of the most observant, entertaining and enjoyable ones I've had the pleasure of reading at rpg.net.
I usually browse through reviews, and I suspect that most readers of rpg.net do the same. They usually don't greatly affect my buying/gaming decisions either, as (like most people) I'm probably more susceptible to shiny advertisments and word of mouth recommendations.
For once though, I have to say, I think a review may be changing the way I think about a game. I'd already put C:TL up on the shelf, with the likelihood that it would never get played, but I think you've sold me on the concept and I'm ready to give it an actual try.
Great review, Darren!
