Re: [RPG]: The Traveller's Guidebook for Players, reviewed by Charles VanSickle (5/5)

So a couple questions. How does this book interact with the Traveller's Handbook, which was the previous (only?) T20 main book available in print? Seems like it contains some of the same information, or all?

Also - I own and reviewed the Traveller's Handbook here earlier(http://www.rpg.net/reviews/archive/10/10077.phtml) and it had some problems - a lot of editing problems and very weak d20 mechanics, among others. How much has this been updated?

In fact, as I look into it, it looks like there was the original handbook I have, then a new PDF-only series (replacing that? reprinting that?) of Traveller's Handbooks broekn down into Characters and Combat, Equipment and Designs, and Worlds and Adventures, and now this. Is this "T20 3e", where what I reviewed was 1e and the C&C book this is noted to replace is 2e? The drivethroughRPG blurb says "If you already have The Traveller's Handbook - Characters and Combat, this book will add a ton more for you playing enjoyment. If you do not already have the Characters and Combat book, the Guidebook contains everything you need (ie: you don't need to purchase the C&C book)."

Not to be rude, but I suspect the editing isn't much improved as when I go to the QLI website (http://www.travellerrpg.com/) I am immediately confronted with numerous "above the fold" typos and errors. "please contact contact us." "The Traveller's Guidbook for Players is now available".
