Don't get the d20 version, imo. I have had much more fun playing AST. With d20, you just have kind of... "extra" humans. With AST, you can make real superhumans that are very powerful, or new superhumans who don't know the extent of their powers yet. Read some of the comments to get a good assesment of what you want to do, but i suggest the AST.
