This was an excellent review, and the fact that it came out of actual play gives it access to points that are hard to get from just a read of the book. I don't disagree with anything, and I would have rated it exactly the same.
As for the disconnect in the Corruption mechanic, I posted something over on the Eos Press forums that might be of interest to you, under the name Trismegistus. It isn't exactly a solution for the disconnect, but it's my take on how to treat it, which, put simply, is to take it as an opportunity to invent something about your character. Nonetheless, I do agree that this can be both difficult and a stretch at times.
Regarding a setting port to another system, I think it almost doesn't matter what system you choose. The setting is vast, but it isn't welded to the system by any means, and I could see doing it in anything from nWoD to ORE to Unisystem or whatever. The reviewer wasn't kidding when he said you could use "Your Favorite System," though I would tend toward something that can handle mass physical combat, social combat and investigative mysteries.
