having read the more extensive review, I'm intrigued by the setting (though a bit chary of the system, it seems a little crunchier than I usually go for). was the timeline written especially for the game? it certainly seems so, what with making women more prominent (and thus playable) and the other little changes. it's a more solid piece of world-building than Solomon Kane.
