1) How do tactics play a role in combats? What kind of tactics can be used to overcome a high Toughness?
Called shots and wild attacks can negate a high toughness to a small degree, tricks can shake an opponent and ganging up and using tricks increase your chances to hit (and perhaps scoring a wound through a raise). (These aren't really tactics as such, just combat options. But making use of these options forms part of your tactics.) These options aren't unique to Savage Worlds of course, but the necessity of scoring a wounding blow can make tactics a good option.

2) How does Righteous Rage work?
Every time a PC uses a benny, they have a 1/3 chance of going into a righteous rage (in addition to whatever the benny was used for). This gives 3 rounds of +d6 to trait and damage rolls.

3) I'm also interested in how Bennies and XP are handled in The Savage World of Solomon Kane, any changes from the main SW rules?
No changes. 1/3 chance of converting a benny into xp.
