I ran it for about six weeks and I share many of his concerns. I originally bought Qin as a sourcebook on ancient China because I was planning on running a heavily Chinese myth influenced D&D campaign and wanted the source material. (That campaign has no pretense of being remotely authentic; it's currently waiting for 4E.)

I ended up running Qin for a bit. I really wanted to like the game because I'd like a wuxia type game without all the heavy baggage of, say, Exalted. Qin does that but a number of aspects of the game drag it down in actual practice, unfortunately. I could probably house rule this stuff, but given the lack of English language support at present and the aforementioned TPK killing enthusiasm....
