One question, though: what does the planet actually look like? Does it look like a "normal" planet, or is it obviously a freakish giant living organism?
Thanks!

Its been a while since I've looked at my copy, but I seem to remember it talking about the surface being like a leathery hide, slightly warm to the touch. I also remember there was a lot of worms and parasites. One of the holy abilities was to cause shallow holes to appear in the planet's surface and fill with drinkable water or edible worms/maggots.
Wormwood is a freaky setting, but very cool. One thing they added was the fact that items specifically for and from wormwood would rot and decay if they left the planet. Presumably this was to prevent a group going there, loading up with bio-organisms (which pretty much are living super powers akin to the Atlantis bio-wizardry, but not as damaging to the character) and MDC resin weapons and then returning to Chi-Town and kicking ass.
